•  The LRC needs financial help. It charges no fees and receives no state funds. It is totally dependent for its income on voluntary contributions. It relies for nearly a quarter of that income on sources in the United Kingdom. UK support is therefore crucial to its work.

  •  While most of this money comes from grants from charitable trusts and foundations, donations from private individuals are vital. As a UK registered charity the Legal Assistance Trust will ensure that your gift or donation, however large or small and in whatever form, will be put to good use.

  •  Please select below if you would like to support the work of the LRC. Completion of a Gift Aid Declaration form will ensure that we can maximise your gift. You can get tax relief on money you give to charity through the gift aid scheme. The amount you give is treated as having had tax relief at the basic rate already deducted. We can then claim the tax relief from the Inland Revenue (via the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF)) and add it to your gift. In this way every £10 you give is currently worth £12.82 to us.

  •  If you are a higher rate tax payer, you can claim extra tax relief equal to the difference between relief at the higher rate and the basic rate relief you have already deducted from the gift.
