Financial Support

The LRC needs financial support – it charges no fees to its clients and receives no state funds.

IT IS TOTALLY DEPENDENT FOR ITS INCOME ON VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS. SINCE IT RELIES ON NEARLY A QUARTER OF THAT INCOME FROM SUPPORTERS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM IS CRITICAL TO ITS SUCCESS AND ABILITY TO PROVIDE SERVICES.

While most of these funds come from grants from charitable trusts and foundations, donations from private individuals are vital.

The Legal Assistance Trust is a registered UK charity (Registered UK Charity 292144) and will ensure that your gift, however large or small and in whatever form, will be put to good use.

There are several ways to support the work of the LRC:

If you are a UK taxpayer, completion of the GIFT AID declaration will ensure that we can maximize your gift. You will get tax relief on the funds you give to a charity through the gift aide scheme. Currently, a £100 gift will yield £128 for the LRC! Click here for a Gift Aid declaration form

If you are a higher rate taxpayer, you can claim extra tax relief equal to the difference between relief at the higher rate and the basic rate relief you have already deducted from the gift.
