•  These photographs were taken during a visit to South Africa by the Director, LAT in April 2002 (click on images opposite for enlarged view).
  
  
•  They depict living conditions of typical clients of the Legal Resources Centre in the Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town area.
  
  
•  Each case is different but they all involve the LRC acting on behalf of people facing eviction from where they currently live.
  
  
•  The scenes from the outskirts of Durban portray the proximity of communities to unacceptable levels of pollution. The LRC's Environmental Justice project work is already making a difference to the quality of life in this area, but much remains to be done.
